The hotel and the facilities are very good. The staff is exceptional kind and will always help you. They feel trustworthy and make beautiful towels origami ️ Actually, the hotel fulfills the description at booking. They had a nice animation team within our 7-days-staying, who was ambitious. They did a great job. The rooms are fine. Bathroom very clear, well lightet, big mirror, hair dryer, fastly warm water flow, enough towels, everything felt good here. The pool area is way relaxing, and pool water feels nice (different temperatures and chlorine state). You can do much sports over there in a very easy manner. We played soccer, beach volleyball, and had workouts every day. It's very nice to burn calories there and you have to... because all you can eat meals/buffets are so damn delicious and luxurious. The catering staff is very helpful, omnipresent, and sometimes entertaining (you will see ) ALL IN ALL, we can fully recommend this property and a nice stay. Tip for your leaving: Book the airport transfer right in the basement area in the hotel lobby. The guy is nice and makes good prices, different from booking from abroad before arrival at the beginning of you staying

Actually, we ordered a double bed but got two single-beds. It was easy to move them together, but it is a little bit lagging in comfort. And the mattresses were too soft. And maybe... The "fitness room" (gym) lags pretty much in performance: Certain devices are not working (e. g. treadmill), the weight bench is very rattly, and there are a lot of weight fixations missing or not fitting properly. A workout is possible, but it isn't too/that nice there The beach volleyball area is lagging a little behind because the thickness of the sand layer is often too thin. A couple of player hurt their knees or toes when they are spectacular saving balls there are rocks underneath. For sure, I didn't like the extra prices by most of the vendors within the hotel area. Initially, you are supposed to always pay 10 or more bucks for regular goods, services, and stuff. This is a hustle because you won't find change rates of 1:50 there (euro) and they get those articles way cheaper in town, which is not easy to access to for you (distance). So in this area you need to expect European prices! Spa services fastly reach 60+ EUR. (But sure, this is not a special issue of this hotel, but tourism️)

The reef was nice with beautiful fish and the food was delicious. The staff was very nice.

We liked everything the service was amazing and the receptionists Mr. Yehia and Mr. Magdy also Mr. Yasser from the room service was very professional and helpful. The sea and the pools and everywhere were very clean also the bar (omar el sherif bar) was serving very very nice cocktails thanks to the bar tinder there ️ The food was very very clean and very good especially the grilled chicken and the pasta by the amazing pasta guy there.

It's not a big deal but the desserts doesn't have lots of variety but again the rest of the food was very good and clean

Totally recommend for both individuals and families specially with children!

Amazing reefs for snorkeling and diving, sandy beach totally save for children. Very nice and helpful stuff, clean and hygiene place with very much variety of food. Good and equipped facilities, totally family friendly specially with kids. The place is very good for relaxing and recharging your batteries. As well close to most of the sightseeing in Marsa Allam.

Everything was absolutely great.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Blend Elphistone Hotel in Marsa Alam! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The food was truly amazing—special thanks to Chef Mohamed Abdelfatah and Nabawy Hagag for their delicious creations that made every meal a highlight of our stay. A big thank you as well to Mohamed Ali, the welcoming face in the restaurant who made us feel right at home every day. One of the most unforgettable moments was seeing dolphins at the marina—such a magical experience! Room service was perfect, and every detail during our stay was well taken care of. We truly had a fantastic time and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Marsa Alam.

Good hotel for the money but for 2 women it was a bit too much

Great beach, great food, also lots of variety for vegetarians. Waiting staff at the restaurant and pool bar excellent (especially Mohamed Saber).

Animation staff very pushy and insistent , same with tour guides that pressure you all the time to book something with them. If you're too friendly in the beginning you never get rid of them. There is a possibility to avoid them by picking up a red flag from the towel pick up place, but the hotel did not inform us of this. In my opinion, It´s a 4 star hotel based on Egyptian standards, not a 4 star European standard. Still , value for money is great!

In my aplication Booking.com was price 51€ per night, but receptionist said price 54€, because of exchange rate of dollars and euro, but me I paid in €, how was writing, but in last they gave for us room deluxe, and I was calming. Towels in beach very old and and dirty, chairs for sunning very old and a lot of broking Also very bad animation team, all show was not professional at all and and some of guys behaved very indecently

Amazing coral reef

I thought our stay was exceptional. The majority of the staff were absolutely amazing, including Mohamed Ali at the restaurant who took our drink orders and brought them to us quickly. He also helped us with finding somewhere to sit every day. The bartenders at the reception bar and pool bar were very good, making good cocktails. Pool bar especially, you should definitely try the special. The coral reef is completely out of this world. We swam with a 1.5m diameter turtle twice at the reef. We also swam with a pod of dolphins twice. There are many other fish types at the reef too and it is not crowded by people. The reef is very colourful and better than anything I have ever seen in Egypt or abroad. The food was exceptional, especially the barbeque area. The beach lifeguard was very good constantly watching the sea to identify wildlife such as dolphins and to make sure tourists are swimming safely. Hotel shampoo, conditioner and body lotion was very good and worked well. The spa is pretty cheap and very good for massages, it charges 120 dollars for 3 massages and a hammam. Some very good shops selling sun cream and souvenirs. The one outside run by idris sells very nice handmade goods.

The water used to water the plants and lawn smelt very bad. The beach bar was not great. Only the Pina colada was drinkable. Sometimes you would queue for 15 mins and still not get served then give up. The bartender had clear favorites who he brought drinks to. None of the hotel staff here aside from one person at reception speak great English. I believe they speak Italian and German though, but not English. Some of the staff hassled us and made us feel uncomfortable as female travelers. But this was only 2 people.

Best price Quality in Marsa Alam

My reviews are based on price vs services. Simply delightful as nice facilities, we were offered an upgrade with a lovely beach view as room service came daily and always bottled water available in the room. The buffet is very good only minus is breakfast being a little repetitive but both lunch and dinner always had different things every day. Something no one explains is that there's the drinks that are included in the all inclusive that includes some of the most common cocktails but there's also premium ones that have a cost, not a lot but if you want something branded or premium there's an extra for that. The beach is the Star of the resort we'll kept only a little coral and rocks, in general I don't think you need water shoes but if you like to explore yeah use them. Night activities are good and the animation team tries their best, fire show I recomend. For the price we payed for a week it's one bang for the buck for sure.

A pleasant and convenient stay in a great resort with all amenities you need for a red sea holiday

The Elphistone Resort is located in the Northern area of Marsa Alam, around 30 km from the Marsa Alam center away. North and south of the resort is no direct neighborhood resort. The resort is quite big with six 3 floor bedroom buildings, shopping area, dining hall and lobby hall. There are two pools and a big beach area with seating availability. The access to the water is very good and shallow. The room is spacious, the bath has a bath tub with shower, warm water was available very well. We booked full board and therefore had access to the food buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food is mostly European dishes and seldom oriental food, but enough choices and lots of vegetables. Service and support of the staff is very good and many of the staff speak up to 4 European languages.

The building is quite old and you can see the shiny times are over, since necessary repairs are not done every were and infrastructure investments are missing. For example our air condition was broken the last day of our stay and could not be repaired in time. There is no internet in the rooms. WiFi is only available in the lobby hall. It is recommended to bring a mobile WiFi router. Egyptian data SIM cards can be purchased in the resort. There are no mosquito nets in front of the balcony doors. Leaving them open will result in an unpleasant night. Purchases within the resort can only be done in EUR or USD.
